Site is the 69th to join the fast-growing network of parenting resource sites

April 18, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. City Moms Blog Network announces the addition of Providence Moms Blog in Rhode Island – the 69th site to join this national network of parenting resources websites. Providence Moms Blog goes live on April 18, 2017 under the leadership of Brooke Rainville, Lindsey Galvao, and Tracy Slater.

Providence Moms Blog will provide valuable parenting resources and encouragement for moms in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. Motivated to build a strong community of moms in the Providence area, Rainville, Galvao, and Slater decided it was time to act and create the community they know is necessary – especially as moms to eight children between them, ranging in age from a newborn to a 22-year-old with special needs.

“Motherhood is demanding and isolating,” said Lindsey Galvao, Providence Moms Blog Co-Owner & Co-Founder. “We want to help moms build their network of support by meeting in person at planned events, have a safe space to write about parenting, and to communicate with other moms so they know they are not alone.”

This trio is now part of a quickly-increasing list of moms signing on as site owners within the City Moms Blog Network, which now boasts 69 sites nationwide and millions of readers each month. At each site, a local mom, sits at the helm and recruits more local moms to contribute content and offer expertise in all topics associated with motherhood. All City Moms Blog Network site owners are connected to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs running sites across the country. This community of moms, all dedicated to connecting moms in their own cities, work together to make sure each site is successful.

“We are thrilled to welcome Providence Moms Blog to our sisterhood of city mom blogs,” said Stephanie Flies, City Moms Blog Network founder and director. “Moms in the greater Providence area now have an excellent resource for events, advice and connection with nearby moms traveling through this motherhood journey together.”

City Moms Blog Network provides an excellent model and framework for not only running a successful business, but making sure that our business keeps us connected to and in support of our local clients,” said Galvao. “CNMB has a clear vision of uplifting mothers and ensuring that our work is always centered in our local community, which is what we loved about CMBN.”

City Moms Blog Network began with Scottsdale Moms Blog in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010, where the unique community blogging approach caught on quickly and moms across the country asked to replicate the model in their communities. The 68 sites in the City Moms Blog Network sisterhood represent hundreds of moms as owners, thousands as contributors and millions as readers.
