City Moms Blog Network Announces Birmingham Moms Blog

Site is the 65th to join the fast-growing network of parenting resource sites

March 13, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. City Moms Blog Network announces the addition of Birmingham Moms Blog in Alabama – the 65th site to join this national network of parenting resources websites. Birmingham Moms Blog goes live on March 13, 2017, under the leadership of Julie Sasse, Betsy Guan and Jenny Yoon.

Birmingham Moms Blog will provide valuable parenting resources and encouragement to Alabama moms in Shelby and Jefferson Counties. No matter where a mom is on her journey of motherhood, she’ll find something uniquely her on Birmingham Moms Blog.

Julie Sasse

“I started Birmingham Moms Blog because I love connecting and encouraging moms,” said Julie Sasse, Birmingham Moms Blog owner. “My hope is to connect moms all over the city of Birmingham, develop relationships, and encourage all of us as moms.”

Sasse is the most recent in a quickly-increasing list of moms signing on as site owners within the City Moms Blog Network, which now boasts 65 sites nationwide and millions of readers each month. At each site, a local mom, like Sasse, sits at the helm and recruits more local moms to contribute content and offer expertise in all topics associated with motherhood. All City Moms Blog Network site owners are connected to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs running sites across the country. This community of moms, all dedicated to connecting moms in their own cities, work together to make sure each site is successful.

Stephanie Flies

“We are thrilled to welcome Birmingham Moms Blog to our sisterhood of city mom blogs,” said Stephanie Flies, City Moms Blog Network founder and director. “Moms in the greater Birmingham area now have an excellent resource for events, advice and connection with nearby moms traveling through this motherhood journey together.”

“I can’t imagine not being a part of the amazing sisterhood of the City Moms Blog Network,” said Sasse. “They give us so much support as we run our business. They truly want us to succeed and give us all the tools we need to start our sister site.”

City Moms Blog Network began with Scottsdale Moms Blog in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010, where the unique community blogging approach caught on quickly and moms across the country asked to replicate the model in their communities. The 65 sites in the City Moms Blog Network sisterhood represent hundreds of moms as owners, thousands as contributors and millions as readers.
