City Mom Collective Guest Writer Submission

City Mom Collective and our Sister Sites are centralized on content written from moms, for moms. We feature topics, interests, and stories of real moms navigating this motherhood journey to make connections with other moms traveling the same road. Whether you have a unique perspective on motherhood, tried-and-true parenting hacks, Pin-worthy recipes or crafts for families, or a desire to make connections with moms just like you, we want to share your story with like-minded moms across the country!

Share Your Story.

Let’s be honest, this motherhood gig runs the spectrum from beautiful to gross to just plain frustrating! The best way through the trials and tribulations of this journey is to connect with other moms who have been through or who are currently experiencing the highs and the lows with you, holding your hand every step of the way!

Your story will reach millions of moms across the country through our platform, providing you a chance to express yourself all the while connecting and supporting other moms!

We want stories that will inspire, stories that will make you laugh, stories that will inform and educate, stories that are REAL!

If you are a mom with a story to tell that will help us in our mission of connecting moms through any phase of this journey, then please share your story with us and our readers!

How will content be selected?

Submissions will truly be based on the following: strong writing, use of grammar, the underlying message, and adherence to CMC Content Guidelines.

We will always ask ourselves, will this story help connect our readers? Will it leave them feeling a sense of community?

Stories must be inclusive and not polarizing.

What kind of content will you not publish?

While we do encourage stories of all varieties, we do have a few policies and guidelines we must adhere to. Stories we will likely not run are:

  • Stories that heavily promote a specific brand, with affiliate links.
  • Stories that are more op-ed than journalistic in nature.
  • Stories that are judgmental or might leave our readers feeling attacked.
  • Stories that are not generally positive in nature or try to divide moms versus connect and unite them.
  • Stories that have been shared on the Internet or in written work elsewhere.

How many blog posts can I submit?

If you’ve got stories to share, we want to hear them! We won’t limit you on the number of posts you submit, however, we can’t promise to run them all at once!

When will I hear if my post will be published?

We will do our very best to respond within a week of your submission. We do reserve the right to hang on to a post for 6 months, before deciding on a publication date. If we do not end up running the post on MomCollective.com, it will be returned to you for your own use elsewhere.

Is there compensation for submitted content?

City Mom Collective writers are eligible for $50 paid compensation if a post reaches 25,000 unique pageviews within 30 days. We know this may seem like a high number, but we will help promote your story as well as lean on our ever-growing Network of Sister Sites across the country to help spread your voice!

At the end of 30 days, we will notify you of your total pageviews and if you are eligible for the $50 payment.

Your chances for payment increase the more you share your story as well! It’s all about networking, so be sure you are sharing your published content through your social channels, email your community of moms and use good ‘ol word-of-mouth!

How do you promote your content?

We have a solid promotion plan in place for every blog post that publishes on MomCollective.com. Each post gets featured on our homepage as well as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and if applicable Pinterest profiles. Post will also be featured in our weekly newsletter that goes out to over 25,000 subscribers!

Can I share my published story?

Absolutely! The best way to share your article is through your own network! We heavily encourage you to share your City Mom Collective post with your personal network of friends and family as well as through any blog you may own or operate!

Please feel free to tag @CityMomCollective when sharing to social platforms!
