As a total foodie, I love all different types of cuisine, from Indian to Mexican, but my very favorite is Mediterranean. There’s just something about the fresh, light ingredients that leave me feeling satisfied and yet energized. While in Houston for our first annual Sister Site Conference (#SisterSiteConf14), we had the opportunity to check out Zoës Kitchen for lunch. Can I just say WOW!? Every one of us ladies walked away impressed with the incredibly friendly customer service and delicious food.

I’m pretty sure we sampled nearly everything on the menu! My favorites were the Steak Kabobs with Rice Pilaf (super juicy and flavorful!), the Spinach Roll-ups (try dipping them in Zoës’ freshly made Hummus! YUM!), and the chocolate chip cookies of course! They have a great variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes to suite most any diet.

As a mommy, another thing I appreciate about Zoës is that you can call ahead, order online or via the free Zoës Kitchen mobile app, and have a hand-prepared dinner ready to pick-up on your way home from work or your child’s sports practice. And this is food you don’t have to feel guilty about serving to your family. All their dishes are made from scratch, hand prepared daily, and predominantly preservative- and additive-free, and there are no fryers or microwaves at Zoës! It’s just simple, fresh, tasty food. If you haven’t been to Zoës yet, call up a girlfriend and plan a lunch date ASAP (and pick-up dinner for the family to-go!).
