Before my oldest was born 4.5 years ago, we did what any new and expecting parents did, we registered for every known baby contraption on the market. This included a Pack-N-Play. Fast forward several years and another child later, and I can quite honestly say we have used said Pack-N-Play 2 times (one time for each child)! Now, this is due to a variety of reasons, however at the top of that list would be the fact I can’t for the life of me figure out how to assemble it (and yes I’ve read the directions) and secondly, my kids aren’t Pack-N-Play sleepers. Now these two facts alone make the idea of traveling with kids cringe-worthy, which may very well be why we avoided any hotel stays for the last several years.

Now this is where BabyBjörn comes in and changes things! When the Travel Crib Light arrived in the mail in this thin, light-weight, rectangular bag I was already impressed. Then when I pulled it out of the bag and assembled the crib in quite literally 5 seconds with no directions because it was “that” easy, it was too good to be true. However, the true test was whether my daughter was actually going to sleep in it during an upcoming hotel stay we were gearing up for.

We loaded the kids, luggage and Travel Crib in our car and headed to an indoor waterpark a couple weeks ago for a fun little mid-week get-away! The Travel Crib is so compact and takes up a such small footprint, that it fits nicely into even the tightest of quarters.

Naptime was going to be the inaugural run of the Travel Crib, so we were crossing our fingers for success. She slept like a CHAMP, our entire stay! She snuggled right in and probably slept better than anyone else! With that WE WERE SOLD!!

As we gear up for our BIG family vacation this week, we are SO thankful to have the BabyBjörn Travel Crib in our arsenal of baby-gear! If only, we had one years ago we may have traveled a bit more… That is really no exaggeration either!

Here is what I love MOST about the BabyBjörn Travel Crib ::

  • It’s Compact – Car space is always an issue when packing a family to go on any type of trip and we don’t have a super spacious vehicle to begin with (Can you say I need a van?!), so this light-weight, then travel frame is PERFECT as it can tuck into just about anywhere. Even assembled, the Travel Crib is compact and takes up very little room compared to others.
  • It’s Easy-to-Use – I really lack patience for things that should seemingly be easy to figure out, so the fact I could literally assemble and dissemble the Travel Crib in a couple minutes is a major blessing to me and my sanity!
  • It’s Comfy – If my daughter not only sleeps but sleeps well in something that is a true test! I often equate Little Miss to Princess and the Pea because if the smallest discomfort is disrupting her shut eye she will let you know!

  34. I’m not sure we have too much for summer travel plans left (we had a big one in May) since we are expecting our newest addition at the end of September. We might visit family once though and we always use a pack’n’play type bed for one child. We definitely could use the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light though since the old one is well old (been through lots with 2 other kids) and we would use the new one for the new child and/or as the travel bed for the middle toddler. We visit family a lot (almost once a month when we’re not pregnant or have a newborn) so this would be wonderful! 🙂
