Why You Should Outsource the Chore of Cleaning of the Dirtiest Item You Own

Seriously though, is there any item that you own that is nastier than the trash can that you set out on the curb twice a week? I just hold my nose and try not to gag every time I open the lid to that thing. Sure, I could clean it myself. Parents: Stop Doing Your Child’s School Projects

I have three kids in elementary school, and have had a multitude of opportunities over our few years in school to take a peek at many turkeys, science projects, Christmas parade mini-floats, poster contests, and book reports. How Many Kids is Too Many Kids? Asking for a Friend!

Even if we try to limit each kid to 2 extracurricular activities, that’s 8 activities a week. And as you know, when kids get older, their sports practice more frequently and travel longer distances and compete multiple times a weekend. 4 kids means a lot of hockey and boy scouts and dance and gymnastics and baseball and—you get the idea.

The Struggle to Choose Joy

My family is looking to me to hold it together, and although I will still have bad days and days I wished we were somewhere else, they need stability, reassurance, love and the mindset that it is all going to work out. And it will.
